March 22 is Go Red for Women Day

Today, March 22, is “Go Red for Women” day, hosted by the American Heart Association, and celebrated throughout the country with luncheons, speakers, and other efforts to continue to spread awareness about heart disease.  Heart disease is the number one killer of women, and is preventable.  Chloe Sutton, a two time Olympian and five time National Champion, was the keynote speaker of one such luncheon in Newport Beach, California this afternoon.  With the goal of the day being to inspire and inform women about the dangers of heart disease and how to prevent it, Sutton addressed the women, sharing her story of determination and hard work.  Her story coupled with the other speakers and sessions of the day helped all women in attendance improve their understanding of heart disease, fitness, and health.
